Happy New Year

A new year is starting in a few hours and I don't have any specific resolutions. All the things I could put down are pretty much lifetime goals for me so I just like to thank the Lord and celebrate with my family. I have so very much to be thankful for! As I enter this new year I'm going to do it with all the determination and commitment I can YET try as hard as I might, I know it is impossible without the Lord! So I guess I do have a resolution. My only resolution is to seek Him more than ever and leave everything in His hands. That should pretty much take care of it all. :)

Merry Christmas

It's Christmas Eve and the house is abuzz with activity for this evening and tomorrow. I've got almost everything done! Gio is off at noon today (yey!) and he'll be here helping. He has worked 10 days straight so we haven't gotten to do any Christmas things together.
In Chile, the people celebrate Christmas late Christmas Eve. My family always celebrates Christmas morning so it works out well. I'm really loving the holidays this year with my children. They love all the decorations, baking, music.
Because of the snow I wasn't able to get much of my Christmas baking done and then I haven't been able to deliver anything that I did make. I've missed not visiting people. So to all the people that I didn't get to see, Merry Christmas and God Bless Us Everyone!!! (I mean that seriously) :)

Happy Birthday to Me

Well, today is my birthday. My 28th birthday. There's nothing too monumental about this age and nothing monumental happened today. :) It wasn't anybody's fault, except nature's. We live on Tiger Mt. and the road from our house to the main road is pretty much impossible with all the snow and ice right now. It snowed and snowed today! It was beautiful though!
I also woke up in the middle of the night with a swollen, tight throat and burning sinuses. I didn't feel like doing anything except sleeping and dragging around. Well, the holiday are here and I'm loving it this year with all my kiddos so a couple days of being down are just fine with me!

My husband commented a couple days ago that I have no pictures of myself on the blog. This is the only recent one where I'm looking at the camera, and don't have baby food all over my shirt. Since this blog is about me I'll burry my pride and actually put one on.

Happy Birthday Marcel

This blog is a couple days late but we were swamped so better late then never! Marcel turned 6 years old on the 5th. Wow! The dozens of people who tell you to "Enjoy them now because they grow so fast" were right. Marcel is definitely not grown but I can see how quickly it is going. He's changing so much! He used to love pushing Thomas the train around last year and now he's putting huge Lego sets together all by himself. He's reading, writing, adding....

Well, enough of my woes! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCELLA THE FELLA ! YOU ARE A CONSTANT JOY AND YOU MAKE LIFE WONDERFUL!!!

A couple days ago Giovanni dropped his car off at a mechanics. It had been shaking for a little while then started randomly dying. He got a call from the mechanic the next day telling him ALL that was wrong. He told Gio that he was extremely lucky because there was a gas leak and the car could have burst into flames at any minute. I thought about that a lot the next day and I have thanked God so many times for keeping him safe!

Joy To The Children

Marcel will be singing in our church's children's choir the 5th and 6th and the 12th through the 14th. The program is called "Joy to the children" and it's about George Mueller which is an awesome true story! It's different from all the typical Christmas programs. Cat Food Anyone?

While putting breakfast together, I heard Marcel yell "Moooooommmmmm! Get Katelyn!!" I ran around the bar and found her helping herself to a bowl of Cat food. Wet cat food. She has just mastered crawling and I underestimated how far and fast she can go. She was eating away and loving it. Ugh!!

FELIZ CUMPLEANOS CHELITA!!

A BIG happy birthday to my Grandma-in-law Chelita!!! She is the sweetest, gentlest lady you'll ever meet! We all love her and I'm so glad we gave Katelyn one of her names. Feliz cumpleanos Chelita! Te amo!

Cousins for the Weekend

This past weekend my brother's kids, Sam and Devon, came to stay a couple nights. All the kiddos had a fun time! I remember how much I loved being with my cousins as I grew up so I'm so happy to see my children have the same experience. We loved having them!

They gave this man a purple heart?!!

Oh, my dad! Sometimes he embarrasses me to death and yet I have no idea what I would do without him. He truly is the best dad, and Papa, in the world!

I'm Back!!!

Well, after several weeks it occured to me that I had completely forgotten my blog. Not just planning to get to it later. It never entered my mind! How I don't know, but now I'm back and hoping to get some pictures going in the next couple days.

Bad Car Day

   This last Friday my car broke down. It would just slowly fade away. We've only had it 5 months so it's kind of a pain. It was towed down to Auburn to get fixed. Monday they called and said the mass air flow censor was out and OF COURSE the problem isn't covered by our warranty. I double checked and sure enough, it isn't. We're going to look into trading for a different car. Our's is a Ford Windstar and it's all electric; doors and everything. When it gets certain things fixed it needs to be hooked up to a machine to be reprogramed. I don't want to pay a shop fee every time some little thing goes wrong. I just hope we can get a different car. 

Not so many pictures

   Well, there'll be quite a few blogs without pictures for a while. Our camera broke!! It broke a little while ago so the only pictures I can get are the one's from my mom's camera. I hope we'll be getting a new camera soon!

Our Little Photographer

We have quite the little photographer on our hands. Braden loves pictures! If he sees a cell phone or a camera he gets so excited at the chance to take a few pics! We have to hide them or we'll end up with 100 extra pictures. He can go around snapping them for more than a half an hour and he's getting really good! He's figured out how to center most of them and has gotten some of our best pictures. Here's one of Katelyn. He's taken a lot more that are good but we don't feel the need to keep photos of tissue boxes or people's behinds. Hmmmm. I wonder what he'll get for Christmas? :)

Trip to the dentist

Marcel had his first trip to the dentist this last week. He loved being there and talked the dentists ear off. I was in such a hurry to get there that I forgot the camera but he had to go back a few days later to have sealant put on his teeth so that's where I got this picture.

Did you know they now have scented laughing gas? When I was a kid it was just plain gas but now they have all different scents! Marcel chose orange and said he liked it. He can't wait for another visit.

I finally figured it out!!!

I finally figured out how to put pictures on my blog so you'll be seeing a lot more posts from me! I'm so happy because some of the people who are dearest to us live far away and this is a great way for me to keep them updated. For anyone who hasn't seen Kate yet, this is her just a couple weeks ago at 3 months.

My first blog

    Today I was looking at a bunch of people's beautiful family blogs and I thought "why don't I start one?" So here it is. No pictures yet. Just something to get the ball rolling and start figuring it out. I'm not great at writing but I'm sure everyone will forgive me for any punctuation or spelling errors.:)  I hope within a few days to get my own family's info and some pictures on.
